Following the Richland Community College, the ILETSB, State Board of Higher Education, and the state's COVID-19 Restore Illinois guidelines, we continue to operate our Academy classes.

(March 22, 2021)- The Macon County Law enforcement Training Center would like to welcome BLEA Recruit Class 21-12. All new Recruits checked in at 3:00 p.m. today and are currently taking their P.O.W.E.R. test.
(April 2021)- BLEA Recruit Class 21-11 will graduate on Friday, April 16, 2021. Unfortunately their graduation ceremony will once again have to be virtual, but we will do our best to make it special for them. We will hold their virtual graduation on-line at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, 04/17/21. (July 2020)- We are excited to announce we have partnered with the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office to bring their Corrections Academy to our campus. Lieutenant William Strayer will continue to serve as the Basic Corrections Academy Class Coordinator. Our staff and instructors will proudly assist Sangamon County in our team approach to state of the art training. Thank you Sheriff Campbell!
(November 25, 2020)- Congratulations to Corrections Class CC-20-08! 30 newly graduated Correctional Officers will be rejoining their respective departments today. (December 10, 2020)- The Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center has not suspended CY2021 BLE and BCO Academies. We will begin all classes on time. The decision was made this morning after receiving the new ILETSB guidelines on Wednesday evening, 12/09/20. Please checkout our Upcoming Training tab for dates and details.

(February 5, 2021)- BCA Corrections Class 21-09 will start their Academy Sunday, February 7, 2021. All Cadets will check in between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Please do not forget your COVID-19 tests!
(February 17, 2021)- Unfortunately the RC21-12 early P.O.W.E.R. test for 02/24/21 and 02/26/21 has been CANCELLED due to recent weather and the pandemic. The P.O.W.E.R. test will be administered on check in day, 03/22/21. PLEASE make sure you can PASS; you can find additional information about the test under our PUBLIC RESOURCES tab.
